Program

This trip goes from Svolvær to Bodø.

This is an indicative program.
We make reservations regarding really bad weather and wind and can change the order / cancel destinations for safety reasons, should such a situation arise. We do this to get
a best possible experience and to be able to take the best possible care of our guests.

We plan at least one summit trip on all our trips north of Brekstad, but all activities on this trip are of course optional.

Whether you want to just relax for a day or two or do something other than what is in the program

then it's all right!

We have 2 sit-on-top kayaks, fishing equipment, diving goggles & snorkels, barbecue, cards & board games and a small library on board, so there will be activities for most people.

Day 1

We start with check-in and review of the program for the week and safety routines on board.

Then we get ready for sailing and set course for Henningsvær, a famous fishing village.

Henningsvær is also known for it`s football field which is located right on the seafront. Here we can book a sauna, and check out what the fishing village has to offer.

Day 2

We set course for Balstad.

Here we have two options depending on wishes and weather conditions.

Those who want to go hiking can go up to Ballstadheia, 459 masl.

Those who want can rather go to the Viking Museum at Borg.

Day 3

We walk through Nappstraumen towards the outside of Lofoten.

We anchor near Ryten, so we can go up there.

Ryten, 543 masl is a very famous summit trip outside Lofoten, with a view of Kvalvika.

Day 4

We continue down the outside of Lofoten.

In good weather we stop at Bunesstranda and have lunch.

Those who want can go hiking to Helvettestinden, 602 masl.

After the trip we continue to our accommodation for the evening at the very tip of Lofoten (Lofotodden).

Here we lay for anchor in a nice bay.

Day 5

We set course for Reine and take the trip up to one of the most popular viewpoints in Norway, Reinebringen! Up at 448 masl we have panoramic views of Reine and Lofotveggen.

After the trip we eat lunch, and set course for Værøy.

Day 6

We use this day to explore Værøy.

We walk up to the famous Nordlandsnuppen or the radar station, or maybe both?

We have dinner here, before we move to Røst in the evening.

If we don`t arrive to late we will take a trip to the local pub.

Day 7

We go for a walk after breakfast and look around.

We set course for Støtt and cross the west fjord, this takes about 10 hours.

If we are lucky maybe we will see whales on the trip over.

Day 8

We eat breakfast, before we go for a walk on the island Støtt. Those who wan`t can go and look at cannon positions from World War II.

We visit and have lunch at Restaurant Gammelbutikken which is a cozy little cafe (not included in the price).

Here they serve the best that the island and the sea have to offer by local food treasures.

After lunch we move on to an idyllic island, Sørfugløy. At Sørfugløy there is a very nice sand beach, where we can swim, grill, relax, paddle kayak, go for a walk..

We make ourselves a better meal, and spend the night here.

Day 9

We set course for Bodø.

On the trip we go through Fleinvær to look at the Artic House.

The trip ends in Bodø.

Kjerringøy was an old large trading post, and one of the country's most important building cultural monuments and the overall best-preserved facility of this type in northern Norway.

The trip we do not take tonight we take after breakfast tomorrow.

Nordskot is also a very nice place to take a paddle trip!

After lunc we continue to Hamarøya, where we find a bay to lay for anchor this night.

We will stay on Tranøy until the next day.

Day 5

Today we set course for Trollfjord, we hope for good wind so we can practice sailing.

On the way to Trollfjord we try our luck at fishing, and if we are lucky there will be fish soup tonight.

Trollfjorden is surrounded by steep, wild mountains that on the south side and within the fjord bottom reach over 1000 masl; highest when Higravtindan (1146 masl), Geitgallien (1085 masl) and Trolltindan (1036 masl). There are several small glaciers in this area.

Hurtigruten passes the Trollfjord on the way between Stokmarknes and Svolvær.
