Meeting place: Brekstad Kai
Time: 12.00
The trip ends at: Brekstad
Program
This trip goes from Brekstad around Veiholmen and back to Brekstad.
This is an indicative program.
We make reservations about really bad weather and wind and can change the order / cancel destinations for safety reasons, should such a situation arise. We do this to get a best possible experience and to be able to take the best possible care of our guests.
We plan at least one summit trip on all our trips north of Brekstad, but all activities on this trip are of course optional.
Whether you want to just relax for a day or two or do something other than what is in the program
then it's all right!
We have 2 sit-on-top kayaks, fishing equipment, diving goggles & snorkels, barbecue, cards & board games and a small library on board, so there will be activities for most people.
Day 1
We start with check-in and review of the program for the week and safety routines on board.
Then we get ready for sailing and set the course between Hitra and Frøya.
On the way we test our fishing luck, if we are lucky there will be fish soup for dinner.
We find a nice bay to anchor the first night.
Day 2
We start the day with breakfast around 08.00, before we continue towards Veiholmen.
Veiholmen is a fishing village located on a group of tiny islands in the northern part of Smøla.
At Veiholmen we go ashore and take a walk.
Day 3
We set course for Sula and Bogøya.
At Sula we go for a walk up to Sula lighthouse, later we have dinner at Supen pub.
(The meal and drinks at the Supen pub are not included in the price)
Day 4
We set course for Brekstad.
We aim to be back at Brekstad around 17.00, so we have plenty of time to clean and wash, and those who are going home with the speedboat will reach the one who goes around kl. 19.00
Practical information
To get to Brekstad you can
- take the speedboat from Trondheim speedboat terminal or Kristiansund speedboat terminal (see timetable on atb.no)
- if you come by car, you can park for free in the parking lot by the harbor.

Program
This trip goes from Brekstad (outside Trondheim) to Sandnessjøen.
This is an indicative program.

Day 1
We start with check-in and review of the program for the week and safety routines on board.
Then we get ready for sailing and set course for Tarva, on the way to Tarva we pass Kjeungen (kjeungskjær) one of Norway's most photographed lighthouses.
We find a nice bay to anchor the first night.
At Tarva we go for a little evening walk to stretch our legs, if there is a mood for it we can go and look at old bunkers from World War II.
On tarva
Day 2
We leave Tarva and set course for Halten.
Halten is an old fishing village where 100 years ago there was a bustling life here with both a fish reception and a cannery. In it`s glory days, Halten was the Trøndelag coast's largest fishing village, and at most there could be up to 1000 fishermen on Halten.
When we arrive we eat lunch, we also go ashore to look around.
We spend the night at Halten.
Day 3
Today's destination is Nordøyan.
In good weather we cross Folda and aim straight at Nordøyan, where the Hurtigruten MS Sanct Svithun sank in 1962.
In bad weather we follow the inner lane along the coast and up.
We hope for a good wind, so those who want can try sailing!
On the North Island, we look at the memorial after the shipwreck and check out the fishing village.
This night we go to the guest harbor.
Day 4
Today we set course for Leka.
This day we navigate inland through narrow waters.
Leka has been named Norway's geological national monument.
400 million years ago, the seafloor crust was pushed ashore. Not only that, Leka was "bent" over on its side and pushed up so that the lower layers of the seafloor crust 7 km down in the earth's crust were visible.
So we can literally walk on the earths inside!
At Leka there are over 50 well-marked hiking trails, we plan to go up to Lekamøya.
The legendary Lekamøya, which escaped Hestmannens pil, can be visited from both Haug and Solsem.
You walk on old seabed and prehistoric beaches, sea and waves have shaped the landscape here, just after the ice age. Lekamøya stands like a monolith on the shoreline of the time 106 masl, she resisted the tough forces.
After the trip we find a nice bay to anchor in for the night.
Day 5
Today we go from Leka to Torghatten.
Anyone who wants can take the trip up to the hole in Torghatten, this is an easy and great trip!
Torghatten outside Brønnøysund is known for its characteristic hole, which runs right through the mountain.
There are many legends related to how the hole was made, but geologists believe the hole was created during the ice age.
We find a nice place to lie down on the sway (for anchor).
Day 6
Today's destination is beautiful Vega!
We arrive in the morning and stay here the rest of the day.
Here we can fish, snorkel / free dive, if the weather is good..grill, paddle a kayak and whoever wants can go up the famous vega stairs up to Ravnfloget.
There is also a Via Ferrata trail up to Ravnfloget, if anyone is interested it is possible to check out the possibilities of renting a guide to join up (not included in the price).
Day 7
We set course for Dønna.
Today's summit trip for those who want is the donna man, 858 masl. and 9 km round trip.
This trip is a little more demanding, so if you are tired in the legs after the vega stairs, it is allowed to stay in the boat to just relax.
After the mountain hike we go out to Hjartøya where we anchor up, maybe it tempts with an evening swim after a heavy mountain hike? We make ourselves a better meal and enjoy the last night.
Day 8
We enter Sandnessjøen where the trip ends.
We pack, clean and wash out the boat and get ready to leave at 12.00
